The end of the year is the perfect time to look back. 2021 was a special year in every possible way. It was another year full of challenges, which makes us even more proud to look back at all the beautiful projects, trendy collections and dazzling campaigns.
Newco
We kicked off 2021 with a new collection. The trends for spring 2021? We focused on cheerful colours, prints and comfort. Paisley pattern, floral and animal prints and white boots: they all continued to do well in spring.
Boutique collection
A Touch of Spring, that was our spring collection! Think cheerful floral dresses, feminine suits with wide trousers and silky blouses with tropical prints.
Collab collection
In March it was collab time. For the third time in a row we joined forces with two well-known fashionistas: An Lemmens and Tatiana Silva. Two collections with their own identity, but both with a focus on playful prints, quirky cuttings and the feeling of warm, faraway places.
LolaLiza goes plussize
2021 was also the year in which we focused more on plus size. You can now find your favourite LolaLiza pieces in sizes 34 to 48! Because we want to make all women feel confident, we thought we should start by making our clothes comfortable for every woman.
Framed Moments
A new month, a new collection and creative brainwaves. The summer collection Framed Moment, full of fresh colours and supple fabrics, is not only a collection but also a reminder to cherish the beautiful moments in life.
Billie x LolaLiza
In April Billie, the weekend magazine of Het Nieuwsblad, Gazet van Antwerpen and Het Laatste Nieuws also saw the light of day. LolaLiza designed a limited collection together with this trendy, sparkling magazine. Full of colour and fully tailored to the Billie readers.
LolaLiza Ambassadors
Do you already know the LolaLiza club? Our fantastic group of 18 dedicated influencers who spread the word about our brand. The whole year of 2021 they represented our brand as ambassadors and provided the best fashion inspo!
We ♥ dresses
May and June were all about LolaLiza's signature piece: the dress! We brought you a collection with dresses for every occasion in different shapes, colours, prints and sizes! The campaign images were shot by Belgian artistic photographer Laetitia Bica.100% Belgian, 100% feminine.
Let’s move on
The start of summer? We celebrated it with a new collection: 'Let's move on'. A tribute to life that is gradually moving back towards old and familiar. Think: fresh colours, daring prints and fine fabrics.
LolaLiza goes eco-friendly
As a fashion company, LolaLiza feels very strongly about sustainability and environmental friendliness. That is why we always try to work as ecologically as possible.
For example, we regularly organise collections of old clothes, which are collected by our non-profit partner TERRE ASBL. They process 56% of all clothing into new fashion. 27% is even completely recycled. Together, we help to reduce the waste dump.
Our own collection Step by Step also consists entirely of pieces that are produced as green as possible. Eco-washed jeans, fabrics made from recycled plastic or production with as little water and emissions as possible: step by step we are working towards ecologically responsible fashion.
Content Day with our ambassadors
To fully immerse our ambassadors in the LolaLiza experience, we invited them to our office and took them on a tour of all the hotspots in Brussels. Our goal? To create great content that was in line with our eco-campaign. Mission accomplished!
Dance with us
2021 was a big year of celebration for us, when we blew out 20 candles. To party is to dance. Our 'Dance With Us' birthday campaign was full of dance dresses and outfits that would make you want to dance the night away.
To celebrate our anniversary, we organised a big event with influencers and press to celebrate this special occasion together in style. Great food, lots of champagne and an epic dance fashion show, that's all it took to make it a real party!
Dancing, dancing, dancing
To showcase our campaign, we organised a flash mob in two different cities with around 30 fantastic dancers. Also during our event, dancing was never far away. Our dance fashion show that lasted twenty minutes, blew away all guests!
We also launched our brand new TikTok account with a dance challenge. We made our own choreography and let everyone dance along with the #LolaLizadance. We gave away fantastic prizes to the participants. The hashtag has been viewed 4.6 million times!
Falling in Love
For our autumn collection, Falling In Love, we were inspired by the city of light, romance and fashion: Paris. A collection full of warm knits, great prints and beautiful coats.
Retailer of the Year
The cherry on our birthday cake? Our hard work was rewarded again this year: for the second year in a row, we received an award. This time we were chosen as Retailer of the Year. So nice!
Collab collection with new faces
New faces, new collab collections. This time we sat down at the drawing tables with 2 new faces, Tiany Kiriloff and Julie Taton. The first collaboration with both ladies resulted in two beautiful capsule collections. Julie went for classics with a retro edge while Tiany taught us that you can dress festively every day.
We celebrated the launch of the two collections in style with two trendy launch parties. Tiany's party started in Antwerp's rooftop bar Laila, while Julie presented her new collection in Le Mess in Brussels.
Make it pop with LolaLiza
After the year-end of 2020 we could use a party. And that calls for a sparkling party look! For our party collection we have pulled out all the stops. Get up, get changed: it's time for party dresses!
Countdown to Christmas
The last straight line to 2022 was, of course, all about the holidays. We counted down to Christmas together with our LolaLiza Advent Calendar on Instagram, where we shared useful tips and inspiration, but where you could also win a lot of great prizes. Super fun!
We designed a winter gift collection called 'The joy of giving', full of great gifts for yourself or friends: scarves, jumpers, hats and much more!
Charity Drive
The end of the year is also a time to give back. Which is what we did with our LolaLiza Charity Drive. Supporting and empowering women, that is our absolute mission. That's why we took our fully loaded Warmest Van with 1500 brand new garments to six Belgian charities that are committed to women. To make the holiday season a little warmer for women who need it.
2021 has flown again. It was a beautiful and challenging year for LolaLiza. And we want to thank you for that, because none of it would have been possible without you. We hope you'll look forward to the next 20 years with us. On to new challenges and projects. On to 2022!
