You have chosen 3 powerful friends for your dream team. Why these women?

They are all women who have experienced setbacks, but still have a positive attitude towards life. They are combative, energetic and extremely resilient!

In addition to these 3 troopers, are there any women who continue to inspire you?

My mom! She really is a lioness who goes through fire and has often effaced herself for the sake of her children. She is a positive and beautiful woman, inside and out. I put the spotlight on my friends for this campaign, but actually my mom should not be missing from my dream team. If I become only half as good a mom as she is, I'm satisfied.

Have you always wanted to work as a power woman in the TV world?

I wanted to become a singer, but after a few music lessons it soon became clear that I had no talent for that (laughs). I finished my studies in marketing & communication management and then started in our supermarket.

A friend asked me to do a casting at MTV and I ended up with a job! Those first five years combining the supermarket and the TV work were really intense. And now still! Combining shooting for Dertigers with the supermarket: it’s not as glamorous as everybody thinks (laughs)! I still get up every Sunday at 6 am to be in the supermarket. With 2 children it is a difficult balance exercise, but we make it work.

At what moment in life did you feel 100% a strong and proud woman?

Every time I've given birth to my kids! Because come on, isn't that really weird? (Laughs) Then I really think "well, I just made a human over here!" I think it's really powerful and fascinating that women can do that.

I've also felt really strong when I found myself more resilient than I thought. I think resilience is really an enormous strength that will often come in handy in life.

What do you think are the qualities of strong women?

That a woman does impressive things should not necessarily draw attention. We don’t do that for men either. But what I always admire is people who do their own thing. I think that's really powerful.

A certain ‘I don’t give a f***’-mindset is a quality of a strong woman. Being strong does not depend on your career. A woman who chooses to stay at home and take care of the children is also strong, maybe even stronger! I just think that women who choose something and go for something are very strong. Regardless of what that may be.

Do you have any powerful advice for other women?

It doesn't matter what you do, but how you do it. Do it & own it! I think that's really strong in life!
