CAN YOU INTRODUCE YOURSELF SHORTLY?
I’m Maâta Lamia, a 33-year-old educator in a high school. I specialize in psychosocial and educational support. It has been 7 years now that I’ve been performing this function with the greatest pleasure. I’m certainly not a rookie anymore! I’ve been in this sector ever since I was 18.
My friend Lamya nominated me for this beautiful award. She wrote a text in which she described me and gave her opinion about me as a person. I am still convinced that she deserves this award. She is such a generous and caring person. The love and friendship that she offers everyone on a daily basis is heart-warming.
HOW CAN WOMEN SUPPORT EACH OTHER?
What is very important to me is solidarity. I believe that women should always support and encourage each other. I also believe that we should value one another and give everyone the opportunity to develop further. We women have the power to achieve great things by working together and caring for each other.
WHO IS YOUR INSPIRING WOMAN?
In my opinion, there is no such thing as just one inspiring woman. All women are a source of inspiration for me. Whether they are full-time housewives or successful business leaders, they all have something to teach me.
In my immediate surroundings I consider my mother as my greatest example. To me she represents strength and courage in its purest state. She has always managed to reconcile her life as a mother, her life as a woman and her professional life. I admire her so much for that!
WHAT IS THE BEST ADVICE YOU’VE EVER RECEIVED?
If there is an advice that I myself try to apply and pass on to others, then it is this: never listen to those who don’t believe in your abilities, to those who don't consider you capable of achieving your goals.
If you have a certain dream or a certain project in mind and you give yourself 100%, you will get there. Unfortunately, there are always people trying to bring you down, telling you that you can’t do it. Forget them! Believe in yourself, stay the course and you will succeed!
WHAT’S YOUR POWER LOOK, WHAT LOOK DO YOU WEAR TO CONQUER THE WORLD?
I adore dresses, but my job doesn’t allow me to wear as many as I would like. In case of emergency, I have to be ready to run. That’s why I mainly wear comfortable outfits. A pair of jeans, some nice sneakers and a sweater are the perfect elements for my everyday office look.
WHICH IMPORTANT MESSAGE WOULD YOU LIKE TO GIVE OTHER WOMEN?
Love yourself and have faith in what you do. The rest will follow. Never accept less than what you think you deserve.
